Surfing with a Purpose

1) What is Surfing With a Purpose?

It is the concept of Surfers who want to blend their love for surfing with their love for people. In the past we have taken 2 days out of each trip to help a local family. We take on projects according to community needs, so far we have done concrete floors, built a house, installed a well, provided shoes, clothing, food, medicine, and hope. The other 8 days consist of adventure and lots of Surfing.

2) When do the trips run?

Summer 2009:
There are no Trips open for 2009.

Summer 2010:
Dates TBA in November, 2009

3) How much does it cost?

In the past... $1600- $1900 Including everything. Air fare, food, transport, lodging, supplies for mission. (depending on Air fare)

4) Why blend surfing with missions?

We have two goals:
1) Help those less fortunate than ourselves while doing what we love.
2) To see surfers of all ages unlock God's purpose for their lives.
We believe life is ultimately a story and if it's a story then there must be a story teller. Our dream is for you to discover who God created you to be.

5) Who should come along?

Unfortunately, Nicaraga is officilly the worst place in the world to beggin surfing. On the flip side contest minded surfers will be able to hone their skills. Aspiring photographers and video specialist have plenty of opportunity.
