A good leader identifies three things

A. the vision
B. core values
C. the culture
[To be an intelligent Visionary leader, don’t assume anything.
You need to establish clear vision, clear values, and desired culture]

Vision:
2 Tim 2:2
2 You have heard me teach many things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Teach these great truths to trustworthy people who are able to pass them on to others. NLT

-To raise up leaders in the area of their talents, teaching them the skills of a disciple maker.

-Young adults ready to serve the purpose of God in their generation. [Acts 13:36]

-Preparing to go into the mission field. [Matt 28:19-20]

Core Values:

15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. NIV

- We need FAT people Faithful, Available, Teachable

- We are team, not a group
* A team is working towards a common goal
* A group is just a gathering of people
“You don’t have team work unless the team works”

- Workman is a skilled individual who gets his hands dirty. Everyone brings something to
the table.
- Correctly handling the Word of Truth, using the word to build a path for our steps.
- Unashamed of the Gospel we live for [ Romans 1:16]
- Continual improvement- make every one your teacher.

Culture:
Isa 8:11-14,16
11 The LORD has said to me in the strongest terms: "Do not think like everyone else does. 12 Do not be afraid that some plan conceived behind closed doors will be the end of you. 13 Do not fear anything except the LORD Almighty. He alone is the Holy One. If you fear him, you need fear nothing else. 14 He will keep you safe…16 I will write down all these things as a testimony of what the LORD will do. I will entrust it to my disciples, who will pass it down to future generations. NLT

We are MISFITS – not meant to fit in

A) To lead someone to Christ
B) Teach them as a Student
C) Attach them to the Great Commission
D) Equip them to make disciples

- We strive to be Creative and Resourceful. [MacGyver]
